Auckland North Community and Development (ANCAD) — formerly known as North Shore Community and Social Services was formed in 1972 and incorporated in 1975.  We support and strengthen community agencies by providing services, advocacy and information.

Working together we can assist to make your organization stronger, more sustainable and better able to achieve its goals. We offer support on the many diverse issues organisations face

Community Development and Advocacy

NSCSS is an advocate for the social service sector, making submissions, talking to MPs and government officials and hosting forums on issues of importance to the sector.

Networking and Facilitation

We facilitate networking and information sharing and foster collaboration and joint initiatives among community agencies.

Community Resource Publications

We publish around 25 Community Resource booklets providing information and guidance to improve the daily management and promotion of community agencies. You can order these now.

Auckland Region Funding Directory

Provides details of fund providers for not for profit groups across the Auckland region. Updated yearly.

Workshops and Training Seminars

We offer training seminars and workshops on a wide range of topics relevant to the sector throughout the year. You will find a schedule on our website.

Application for Umbrella Status

Many groups who are not legally constituted may need an umbrella group while they are setting themselves up. NSCSS provides this function for a number of groups. See our website for details.
